Journal History
This Journal of Community Service was established as a manifestation of the academic commitment of STT Kristus Alfa Omega in strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the field of Community Service (PkM). For many years, lecturers at STT Kristus Alfa Omega have actively conducted various community service programs that contribute to churches, educational institutions, social communities, and society at large, while also systematically preparing academic reports of their activities.
In an effort to broaden the dissemination of community service outcomes and enhance the quality of scholarly publications in the field of Community Service, in June 2026, Dr. Gidion as the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service (P3M) initiated and developed this journal through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform as a professional, open-access, and sustainable publication medium. The journal is intended to serve as an academic platform for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and community servants to publish innovative, contextual, and transformative community service works.
The inaugural issue of the journal was published through collaboration among authors from various higher education institutions as part of strengthening academic networking and improving the quality of national scholarly publications. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. Each issue publishes six scholarly articles on Community Service that have undergone editorial selection and peer-review processes in accordance with national academic publication standard.
