MAKNA SYAIR LAGU DHONDHONG APA SALAK KAJIAN SEMIOTIKA: PERSPEKTIF ROLAND BARTHES

Abstract

Song lyrics are an important part of being the spearhead of conveying the meaning of a song. People can cry, laugh, contemplate, and other expressions when listening to a song or singing a song. Pay special attention to children's songs which are now starting to be forgotten. Javanese children's songs are usually called dolanan songs. One of the dolanan songs that has a high philosophical meaning is the song Dhondhong Apa Salak. Roland Barthes' theory, namely denotation, connotation, and myth, will be used to dissect the meaning of the song Dhondhong Apa Salak's lyrics. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method using a semiotic approach. While the data collected by observational methods, interviews and documentation will be analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.
