Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) program aims to equip the congregation of Mahanaim Community Church (MCC) in Semarang for soul-reaching ministry through the empowerment of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the application of evangelistic strategies that are contextual and relevant to the needs of today’s congregation. The activities were conducted in three consecutive sessions in February 2026, using interactive seminars, participatory workshops, and hands-on field practice. The material presented covered three main topics: supernatural evangelism that releases the power of the Holy Spirit; the “empathy bridge” method for reaching those who are hurting or have drifted away from the church; and the “fathering” approach, which emphasizes personal mentoring and sustained growth in faith. All materials were presented by faculty members from STT Kristus Alfa Omega in Semarang and facilitated by students who are part of the PkM team. The results of the activity showed an increase in the congregation’s active understanding of the materials presented by the facilitators, as well as the development of weekly evangelism action plans by each participant. The congregation’s active participation was reflected in the attendance of 26–31 people per session as well as their involvement in group discussions, simulations, and the development of follow-up plans. The impact of this activity was the growth of a collective awareness of the importance of planned, measurable, and sustainable soul-reaching within the local church community.
